The newest Tartare from La William was named Veggies Tartare. Why? Because extra veggies were added to the recipe, your guarantee of a full Tartare flavour. Thanks to the large amount of veggies & fine herbs in this Veggies Tartare, it is also extra crrrrrrunchy! Enjoy this delicious new sauce with fries or fish!

  • Many people confuse Tartare with Remoulade sauce? The main difference between the two sauces is that Tartare contains eggs, while Remoulade sauce does not! Moreover, Remoulade sauce also often contains a lot more spices than a traditional Tartare.
  • Steak Tartare as we know it today really used to be a finely chopped steak served with Tartare sauce. Over the years, however, the name "Steak Tartare" was used anyway even though the meat was often no longer served with Tartare sauce.

  • You can very easily make your own tartare sauce?
    • Finely chop some shallot, fresh parsley, chives & tarragon.
    • Boil some eggs for at least 8 minutes.
    • Peel & crush the eggs & add them to the herbs.
    • Finely chop some pickle & capers.
    • Combine all ingredients in a bowl & add creamy mayonnaise.
    • Season to taste with salt & pepper. Enjoy!
